Acer has recently unveiled its latest additions to the Swift AI laptop line at IFA, showcasing models equipped with Intel’s new Lunar Lake chips, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Plus, and AMD’s Ryzen AI 300.

These laptops are designed to deliver impressive battery life, with claims of over 24 hours of video playback and up to 17 hours of productivity use. The new Swift 14 AI and Swift Go 14 AI models, priced at $1,199 and $999, offer various configurations for meeting different user needs.

The Swift 14 AI can be designed with an Intel Core Ultra 5 or 7 processor (model SF14-51) or an AMD Ryzen AI 9 365 chip (model SF14-61).

Both models offer premium OLED screens as an option, with the Intel version providing 3K or 2K OLED options at 90Hz and a 2K IPS screen, while the AMD version includes a 3K OLED screen alongside 3K 120Hz and 2K IPS options. Storage options differ slightly, with the AMD model supporting up to 2TB of storage, compared to the Intel model’s maximum of 1TB.

Both laptops feature two USB-C ports, with the Intel model offering Thunderbolt 4 ports and the AMD model providing generic USB4 ports. Additional ports include two USB-A 3.2 ports, an audio jack, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

Connectivity is robust with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. Both models also come with a 1440p webcam, IR depth sensing for Windows Hello facial recognition, a privacy shutter, and proximity sensors to lock the screen when the user moves away.

On the other hand, the Swift Go 14 AI is aimed at users looking for a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at a lower starting price.

This model features a slightly larger 14.5-inch screen with options for a 2560 x 1600 IPS panel or a 1920 x 1200 panel, supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate. Despite being dimmer than the Intel and AMD options, these screens offer a good viewing experience.

The Swift Go 14 AI also includes up to 32GB of RAM, a 1440p webcam with IR depth sensing, a privacy shutter, and a fingerprint reader. Port options are similar to the Swift 14 AI, with two USB4 type C ports, two USB-A 3.2 ports, and an audio jack. This model starts at $999 and is expected to be available this month.

Additionally, Acer is introducing a 16-inch model, the Swift 16 AI, which is exclusively available with Intel Lunar Lake processors and offers options for Core Ultra 5, 7, or 9. This model features a 3K touchscreen OLED display and up to 2TB of storage.

It is powered by a 75Wh battery, although Acer has not specified the battery life for this model. Weighing in at 3.3 pounds, the Swift 16 AI is designed for users who need a larger screen and higher performance.

Overall, Acer’s new Swift AI laptops promise to deliver exceptional battery life and performance, with various configurations to suit user preferences and needs.

Whether you are looking for the latest Intel, AMD, or Qualcomm processors, Acer’s new lineup offers something for everyone.
