Apple has released updates to fix the critical bugs following the release of iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia last month.

The updates come in anticipation of iOS 18.1, which is expected to include the key features, omitted from the initial release.

The latest updates – iOS 18.0.1, iPadOS 18.0.1, vision OS 2.0.1, macOS Sequoia 15.0.1, and watchOS 11.0.1, focus on fixing the reported bugs rather than adding any extra new features.

One of the most significant updates released resolves a critical bug that caused some M4-equipped iPadOS 18.0.1 to become bricked.

The bug was so problematic that Apple had to stop the rollout of the iPadOS 18 update for M4 iPads.

Users with these devices were unable to install the new software until Apple fixed the issue.

Now that the update is fixed and re-released, those users finally have a chance to use the new iPadOS 18.

In iOS 18.0.1 a bug was reported that sometimes caused the touchscreen to become unresponsive on iPhone 16 models. Apple has also addressed this bug with the new updates.

There was also a camera freezing issue on the iPhone 16 Pro that is also fixed with the new updates, and the Messages app, which was randomly crashing when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face, has been stabilized across multiple platforms.

With the macOS Sequoia 15.0.1 update, the users can now get improved compatibility with third-party security software and it also resolves the Messages above app bug.

However, watchOS 11.0.1 experienced several issues, including battery drainage, touchscreen unresponsiveness, and random device restarts, on Apple Watch Series 9,10, and Ultra 2.

VisionOS 2.0.1 fixes a YouTube video player freeze in Safari, resolves data loss for Web Extensions, and addresses the same Messages bug as other platforms.

These updates emphasize Apple’s commitment to resolving user concerns and enhancing the performance and stability of its devices, ensuring a smoother user experience across its devices.
