Apple just announced a new iPhone SE. The iPhone SE is compact, durable, and works smoothly with iOS 15.
It has an upgraded A15 Bionic chip that improves the camera and enhances tasks like photo editing, gaming, and reality.
Additionally, it supports 5G, has a longer battery life, and is more durable.
The new device comes in three colors – midnight, starlight, and (PRODUCT)RED. You can pre-order it this Friday, March 11, and it will be available starting Friday, March 18.
The design of the upcoming iPhone SE will have similarities with the iPhone 14, however, it will have a larger 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and a notch that will replace the smaller 4.7-inch LCD screen of the previous model.
This revamped model will use facial recognition (Face ID) to unlock the phone, instead of the fingerprint sensor (Touch ID).
Additionally, it will have a powerful A18 chip, allowing it to use Apple’s advanced features and technologies.
This will be the first iPhone SE to include an in-house cellular modem that will reduce Apple’s reliance on Qualcomm and the device will feature a single 48MP rear camera.
The iPhone SE has a 12-megapixel wide camera with a ƒ/1.8 aperture. This camera includes advanced features like Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, Deep Fusion, and Portrait mode.
Smart HDR 4, which was first introduced with iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13, uses smart technology to make separate adjustments to the colors, contrast, and noise for the subject and the background.
The iPhone SE comes in three different storage options – 64 GB, 128 GB, and 256 GB.
This means you can choose how much space you need for your apps, photos, and other files.
It also has 4 GB of RAM, which is more than the previous model’s 3 GB of RAM. RAM helps the phone run smoothly and handle multiple tasks at once.
One of the most notable changes is the inclusion of a USB-C port, which will make the iPhone SE compliant with the European Union’s new regulations, which require USB-C on all new small and medium-sized electronic devices.
Now this effort is expected to simplify the charging options for the users and improve the compatibility with third-party accessories as well.
The new iPhone SE will have a starting price of around $500 which is comparatively more expensive than the previous model, which started at $429.
Despite the price rate, Apple aims to keep the device competitive in the entry-level smartphone market.
Apple is also rumored to be working on a new “iPhone 17 Air,” which is expected to be the thinnest iPhone ever.
It is expected to measure around 5.5mm. The iPhone 17 series, including the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, will also receive major updates this year.
So, stay tuned for the latest news updates.
