Reliable rumors are pointing towards Apple’s upcoming lineup of M4 Macs in a late October and sales starting on November 1, 2024.
This new wave includes updated 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, a 24-inch iMac, and a redesigned Mac mini, the highlight of the latest releases.
The Mac mini will feature a compact design, closer in size to an Apple TV box, but retaining its internal power supply.
The device is expected to come in two versions: an entry-level model with a basic M4 chip and a higher-end M4 Pro version, featuring fewer ports due to the smaller size.
Reports suggest at least one model will have five USB-C/Thunderbolt ports, with some of those ports conveniently located on the front.
Additionally, a new iPad mini might debut at the same event, marking its first update in three years. Other anticipated M4 Mac refreshes, including updates for the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Mac Pro, are expected in 2025.
These new Macs will launch alongside the macOS Sequoia updates, which introduces the first wave of Apple Intelligence features.
These include enhanced Siri capabilities and smart replies, with more advanced features to be rolled out in future updates.
Notably, the M4 Macs won’t have exclusive Apple Intelligence features, as these enhancements will be available across devices, dating back to the M1 series.
