Nvidia has rolled out a major new graphics driver update, which brings along a good amount of bug fixes.
The version 576.02 driver release, has introduced improvements aimed at solving many of the issues that have been affecting users in recent months.
This update comes after a continuous report of bugs, game crashes stability issues among gamers and PC users. These issues became more widespread with the launch of the RTX 5090 graphics card and the rollout of DLSS 4, Nvidia’s latest rendering technology.
With the 576.02 driver, Nvidia is aiming to restore stability and make improvement in the overall performance. One of the major fixes included is for a blue screen of death (BSOD) error that would occur when playing games using DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation enabled.
There are also key improvements for users running Windows 11, specifically the 24H2 version, where system stability had been an ongoing concern.
In addition, the update addresses black screen problems that had been randomly affecting RTX 50-series GPUs, as well as other broad system reliability issues.
This update isn’t just about fixing general problems—it also targets issues in several popular games.
For instance, Nvidia has resolved random crashes in Fortnite, a bug that caused Star Wars Outlaws to hang when left idle, and a crash in Monster Hunter Wilds. Overwatch 2 players will benefit from a fix for stuttering that occurred when V-SYNC was turned on.
Other games receiving attention in this update include Hellblade 2, Control, The Last of Us Part 1, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, all of which had various performance and stability problems that are now addressed.
What makes this driver release stand out is the sheer volume of fixes it contains. Unlike typical Nvidia driver updates, which usually list just a handful of resolved issues, this one spans nearly two full pages of detailed patch notes.
It’s clear that Nvidia has taken recent user complaints seriously and worked hard to deliver a more stable and reliable experience for its customers.
In addition to all the fixes, the 576.02 driver also adds support for Nvidia’s newest graphics card, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti. This GPU is launching at a starting price of $379 and will benefit from all the enhancements included in this update.
The driver release represents a significant effort by Nvidia to improve the user experience and regain trust following a rough period of driver instability. For anyone using an Nvidia GPU—especially from the 50-series—installing this update is strongly recommended.
