In a recent beta update, OpenAI announced it is rolling out new features for the ChatGPT Plus members.

The subscribers have reported that with these latest updates, ChatGPT Plus Members can now Upload and analyze Files in the Latest Beta. So, the Plus members can now upload and work on the files with multimodal support.

This update is a significant addition to the ChatGPT platform, allowing users to interact with their data more powerfully.

Once a file has been uploaded, ChatGPT will automatically detect the file type & begin the analysis process.

Once the analysis process is complete, ChatGPT will provide users with various insights into their data. For example, ChatGPT can:

    • Generate summaries of text documents
    • Provide answers to questions asked
    • Summarize data
    • Generate data visualizations as prompted
    • Identify key trends and patterns in data
    • Classify data into different categories
    • Generate code snippets to perform specific tasks on data
    • Translate data from one language to another

The chatbots are not limited to just text files. Recently, Luokai, a user, posted screenshots of conversations in Threads, mentioning they had uploaded an image and asked ChatGPT via DALL-E 3 to create a Pixar-style image using the new feature, and the result was amazing.

The ability to upload and analyze files is a significant addition to the ChatGPT platform.

It allows users to interact with their data more effectively, and it opens up various new possibilities for ChatGPT Plus members.

The file upload and analysis feature is currently in beta, but it is available to all ChatGPT Plus members. To access the beta feature, simply login to ChatGPT and click on the “Beta” button in the top right corner of the interface.

The file upload and analysis feature is currently limited to 100MB per file and ten files per day.

However, OpenAI has stated that they are working on increasing these limits in the future.
